We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in producing comprehensive and innovative electrical designs, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems into larger engineering projects. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to deliver technical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Design Creation: Produce conceptual designs, detailed designs, integration/installation drawings, design specifications, operational documentation, and validation evidence for electrical engineering solutions. Collaboration: Work closely with other design engineers to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall project design. Ensure all electrical design solutions meet safety, quality, technical, and commercial requirements. Third-Party Management: Manage third-party designers, ensuring their designs meet project requirements. Provide design support to installation and commissioning teams to ensure smooth implementation. Design Reviews: Lead and participate in internal and external design review meetings, providing expertise and guidance on electrical design matters. Identify and support opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and overall business improvements within electrical design processes. Assist in preparing technical tenders and budgets, providing electrical design input to ensure accurate scope definition. Quotation Requests: Handle requests for quotations (RFQs) for specialist equipment related to electrical systems. BOM Production: Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical systems and components. Degree or higher education qualification (HNC/HND) in electrical engineering with at least 3 year’s post qualification experience in a design environment. Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD, (experience working with 3D CAD systems is advantageous but not critical). Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel & Outlook. Experience with simulation and analysis tools for electrical systems (such as ‘Trimble MEP’ / DIALux / Relux). Experience in EMC and Tempest installations.
