As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Commercial team and play a key role in developing competitive, accurate and commercially robust tender submission
Role
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, timely and commercially competitive cost estimates for a range of defence, government and commercial construction, engineering and infrastructure proje cts.
Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management and Finance, you will analyse tender requirements, develop detailed pricing models, obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, and identify commercial, technical and programme r isks.
You will play an important role in helping G3 Systems secure profitable contracts, supporting opportunities across the UK and international ma rkets.

- tation. Analyse specifications, drawings, schedules and Bills of Quan
- tities. Produce detailed estimates covering labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontract se
- rvices. Develop comprehensive cost models, pricing schedules and tender submi
- ssions. Obtain, evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quot
- ations. Liaise with Engineering teams to validate technical assumptions and estimating
- inputs. Support value engineering activities to optimise project
- costs. Identify commercial, programme and technical risks during bid prepa
- ration. Assist in developing pricing strategies that maintain competitiveness while protecting company
- margin. Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions, qualifications and pricing assum
- ptions. Participate in internal bid reviews and governance me
- etings. Maintain estimating databases, cost libraries and historical cost r
- ecords. Support post-tender negotiations and commercial discussions where re
- quired. Work alongside Procurement to understand current market pricing and supply-chain
- trends. Ensure estimates comply with G3 Systems' governance procedures and customer requir
- ements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools and tem
- plates. Maintain the confidentiality of commercially sensitive infor
- ation.
