About the Role
G3 Systems Ltd is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Electrical Supervisor to join our construction team on a rotational deployment in Lagos, Nigeria. Working to UK standards within an international environment, you will oversee electrical installation works, ensure strict compliance with safety and quality requirements, and support the successful delivery of a high-profile project. This role requires strong leadership, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced construction setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the highest standards of safety in line with G3 Systems’ Safety Policy, ensuring the wellbeing of staff, supply chain partners and the general public.
- Enforce correct use of PPE in accordance with company policy and subcontractor RAMs.
- Promote a strong safety culture by working safely, stopping unsafe work, raising concerns, and participating in safety initiatives.
- Ensure all materials delivered to site meet programme dates and required specifications.
- Record electrical installation early warnings via the Risk Register and escalate to the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
- Collaborate with the Design Team to maintain compliance with G3 Systems’ design responsibilities.
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure installations meet UK specifications and quality standards.
- Attend daily coordination meetings to review progress and upcoming works.
- Document site discussions and actions through clear, professional email communication.
- Participate in look-ahead planning meetings, identifying and raising any programme concerns.
- Perform quality checks of completed installations and maintain accurate records using paper forms and the I-Auditor system.
- Ensure work areas are fully prepared for key stage inspections by the G3 QA Manager.
- Manage and enforce the company Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure.
Qualifications Required
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- BS7671 qualification (17th or 18th Edition).
- City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing or EAL Level 3 Test & Inspection.
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with confidence in directing and coordinating contractors and team members.
- Solid understanding of risk, compliance, planning and project management.
- Proven experience leading teams of electricians and taking operational responsibility for electrical service delivery.
- Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
- Demonstrable electrical experience in FM, construction, secure, military, healthcare, or similar environments.
