G3 Cyber is a growing team of experienced specialists that helps clients across sectors handle challenging and advanced security risks. We are looking for an analyst at the start of their career to join our defensive security team. We focus on the real challenges that businesses face today, and help our clients understand and articulate risks from a commercial perspective. We work across finance, technology, infrastructure, and other industries that can present real risks to people and the world. Projects are wide-ranging in length, complexity, and scope.
The defensive analyst will be involved in projects across the team, and have the opportunity to express and develop specialism in areas of interest, such as focusing on operational technology and the challenges it faces, or even supporting our offensive operators as they run sophisticated red teams that emulate the pathways real attackers might take through networks.
The Role
- Support high-quality engagements across defensive cyber security, including risk and maturity assessments, cyber due diligences and tabletop exercises.
- Assess how cyber security risks may impact the core business mission of our clients and communicate this message to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Actively work with the wider team to develop bespoke solutions for clients with complex cyber security requirements.
- Engage directly with high-profile clients, fostering strong relationships through credibility and excellence of the G3 offering.
- Support with business development activities, including client briefings, proposal writing and/or development of marketing materials.
- Be an enthusiastic and supportive team member.
Qualifications and capabilities
- Interest in cyber security, following cyber news, and motivated to understand the why and how, as well as the what.
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of small-scale projects, with the ambition to grow into leading larger, more complex initiatives.
- Excellent team player with positive attitude.
- Works well under pressure and to tight timelines.
- High attention to detail and excellence in written and verbal communication.
- Brings a growth mindset and asks questions to deepen understanding.
- Demonstrable interest or experience in a specific domain of cyber security, such as OT systems, cloud security, data protection, incident management, etc.
- Basic O365 skills (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
