Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible for the proper operation, adjustments, repairs, lubrications, and
preventive maintenance required on agricultural trailers.
Maintains an inventory of required parts,
products, and tools needed for the daily operations, including ordering stock replenishments and special
order parts, as well as the necessary documentation.
Essential Functions

- Demonstrates the importance of safety and quality in every aspect of the job.
- Leverages training to make sound decisions under the oversight of the Maintenance Manager.
- Learns and utilizes established communication procedures.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Carefully handles various pieces of equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Assesses machinery during operation and makes repairs as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance according to established PM schedules.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
- Problem solves mechanical, electrical, and equipment problems.
- Repairs mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Utilizes shop equipment to complete repairs as needed (cutters, welders, milling machine,
grinders, and cutting equipment). - Maintains appropriate inventory levels (parts and supplies).
- Initiates the purchase of equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Completes documentation for purchase orders and inventory.
- Reads and understands product specifications and drawings, and to follow Preventive
Maintenance Procedures. - Follows established policies and procedures, including safety procedures.
- Independently investigates, analyzes causes of equipment failure, and takes the necessary
corrective action. - Utilizes hand tools (both manual and powered) to perform machine adjustments and repairs.
- Completes routine “housekeeping” duties throughout the shift and at other times as assigned.
- Completes required paperwork to document PM’s, and daily production accomplishments.
- Trains other employees as required, and to work as part of a team.
- Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety
regulatory consideration.

- Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of Mechanical
experience to include 1 year of welding and fabrication experience reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility - Required to work overtime as necessary.
- Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Required
to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short
correspondence and memos. - Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and diving using whole numbers.
- Required to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
- Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of Mechanical
experience to include 3 years of Welding and Fabrication experience reflecting increasing levels
of responsibility. - Basic electrical understanding.
- Basic understanding of electrical equipment.

Compensation
Hiring Hourly Rate: $27.88 - $32.79
