Our client is a well-established high street law firm in Windsor with a strong reputation for providing approachable, personal legal advice to individuals and families across the local area. The firm is now looking to appoint a Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to join its friendly and established Wills, Trusts & Estates team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor through to an experienced Private Client Lawyer who wants a varied caseload, direct client contact and the opportunity to develop their career within a supportive local firm.
The Role
- Manage a varied Private Client caseload, advising clients throughout the full lifecycle of the firm’s estate planning and administration needs.
- Drafting Wills, including more complex and tailored arrangements.
- Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
- Managing Probate and Estate Administration from initial instruction through to completion.
- Advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT) and estate planning.
- Advising on Trusts and succession planning.
- Supporting elderly and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with private clients and their families.
- Identifying opportunities for business development, networking and referrals.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued growth of the Private Client department.
About You
- A Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
- Newly Qualified with relevant Private Client training experience, or have previous PQE in Private Client law.
- Experienced in Wills, Probate, LPAs and Estate Administration.
- Ideally familiar with Trusts, Inheritance Tax and estate planning.
- Confident managing a caseload and dealing directly with clients.
- Highly organised with excellent drafting and attention to detail.
- A strong communicator with a genuine commitment to client care.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a small, supportive team.
- Interested in developing their career and client relationships within a well-established local practice.
STEP qualification or a willingness to work towards STEP would be advantageous but is not essential.
