Our client is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Legal Secretary to join its growing and busy Family Department in Kenilworth. The Role

You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, ensure the smooth running of the department and assist with a wide range of family law matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audio typing and preparation of legal documents including letters, briefs, statements, petitions and court applications
  • Drafting and formatting forms, agreements, deeds, schedules, mediation documents and attendance notes
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments and handling client communications
  • Liaising with third parties including counsel, experts and other solicitors
  • Preparing court bundles, briefs and supporting documentation
  • Assisting with photocopying and document management for hearings
  • Preparing costs schedules for court
  • Time recording, billing support and assisting with invoicing
  • Maintaining accurate filing systems and archiving closed files
  • Handling outstanding client and office balances
  • Providing reception cover when required
  • General administrative and secretarial support to the Family team

About You

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Family Law (or strong legal secretarial experience)
  • Strong audio typing and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and telephone manner
  • Professional, organised and able to manage a busy workload
  • Experience with case management and accounts systems preferred
