A highly regarded Legal 500 law firm in Tamworth is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its award‑winning team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, timely and commercially astute legal services to a diverse portfolio of clients, while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on Wills and Estate Planning, including lifetime tax planning strategies
- Managing the administration of estates, including post‑death inheritance tax planning
- Handling Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
- Advising on the creation, management and administration of Trusts
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of Wills, Trusts and Probate law, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Proactively cross‑selling services across the firm
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and introducers to enhance the firm’s client base
- Collaborating with the wider Private Client team
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE in Private Client work.
- Broad experience in estate planning, Wills, probate and trust administration
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of clients’ personal and financial needs
- Commercial awareness with a client‑focused approach
- Excellent legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
