An opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Lawyer to join a highly regarded Public Law & Projects team advising on major public sector-led developments and infrastructure projects across England & Wales. The team acts on complex regeneration, housing, education, energy and public infrastructure projects, working with a broad range of public sector clients on nationally significant schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor looking to work on high-quality, large-scale projects within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, while gaining exposure to complex and often unique transactions.
The Role
You will work as part of a nationally recognised Public Law & Projects team advising on a broad range of real estate matters connected to public sector and infrastructure projects. The work will include:
- Large-scale regeneration and development schemes
- Infrastructure and public sector projects
- Energy and heat network projects
- PFI and long-term development arrangements
- Complex real estate transactions involving procurement and subsidy considerations
You will work closely with experienced specialists across multiple disciplines, helping deliver commercially focused and practical solutions on often high-profile and challenging matters. The role will also involve:
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and profile-raising activities
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider national team
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Around 3+ years’ PQE with strong real estate transactional experience
- Excellent technical drafting and transactional skills
- Ability to manage complex matters and competing deadlines
- Commercial and practical approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Interest in public sector, regeneration, infrastructure or development work
Previous public sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates coming from a broader commercial real estate background with an interest in this area are encouraged to apply.
