We are working with a leading, well-established legal practice to recruit an experienced Residential Property Conveyancer/Executive for its Skipton office on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a pivotal opportunity within a busy and well-regarded property team delivering high-quality residential conveyancing services across the region. You will handle a varied caseload of sale and purchase matters from initial instruction through to completion, providing a smooth and professional service to clients and third-party professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential conveyancing files at all stages, from client onboarding through to post-completion archiving
- Take clear, accurate instructions and provide practical, plain‑English advice to clients
- Draft, review and manage contracts, documentation and correspondence in line with regulatory and firm procedures
- Ensure prompt billing and recovery of monies due from clients and third parties
- Assist with supervision and mentoring of junior team members as required
- Maintain and develop up-to-date technical knowledge of residential conveyancing law and practice
Essential Skills & Experience
- At least 2+ years’ experience handling residential conveyancing matters at a similar level (Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and confidently
- Well‑organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- A client‑focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service
- Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and legal case management systems
