An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Assistant/Secretary to join a highly regarded and growing central London law firm. Working within a busy and collaborative residential property team, you will provide comprehensive support to experienced fee earners across a varied and high-quality caseload. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop their career in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The team is known for delivering exceptional client service and handling a broad range of residential property matters for an impressive client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full administrative and secretarial support to the residential conveyancing team
- Manage client onboarding, including opening files, AML and compliance checks
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties to progress transactions
- Handle diary management, scheduling appointments, and responding to enquiries
- Maintain accurate records on case and document management systems
- Assist with post-completion matters and file closing procedures
About You
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in a Residential Conveyancing Assistant or Secretary role
- Solid understanding of the conveyancing process (freehold and leasehold preferred)
- Experience supporting transactions across the full lifecycle
- Familiarity with AML processes and onboarding procedures
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Strong communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Land Registry processes and post-completion work
- Background in a high-volume conveyancing environment
