This outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join a highly regarded Private Wealth team at a leading UK law firm. This role is open to experienced Solicitors or Legal Executives with strong expertise in trusts, estates, and tax planning who are seeking to transition into a non-fee earning knowledge-based position.

Based in Exeter with flexible hybrid working, this position offers the chance to move away from fee earning while remaining at the forefront of complex, high-value private client work. You will play a key role in supporting a top-tier team advising high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal knowledge across trusts, tax planning, and estate matters
  • Monitor and communicate legal developments, case law updates, and HMRC changes
  • Draft, update, and manage legal precedents, templates, and know‑how resources
  • Deliver internal training, CPD sessions, and legal workshops
  • Support business development through technical content, tenders, and articles
  • Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (UK qualified)
  • Minimum 7+ years’ PQE in Private Client / Private Wealth law
  • Strong experience advising HNW and UHNW clients
  • Excellent technical knowledge of trusts, estates, and tax planning
  • PSL or knowledge management experience beneficial but not essential
  • Strong communication and training delivery skills
