A well-established firm in Edinburgh is seeking a Solicitor (1-8 years) to join its Professional Indemnity team. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners and associates, acting for leading insurers and professional clients across a broad range of sectors.

The Role

  • Defending professional negligence claims
  • Acting on claims against:
    • Solicitors and Lawyers
    • Surveyors
    • Architects
    • Engineers and construction professionals
  • Providing coverage advice and assisting with policy interpretation
  • Working on high-value and technically complex litigation
  • Drafting pleadings and other key court documents
  • Managing cases day-to-day and advising insurer clients

The team offers excellent training, early responsibility and exposure to high-profile matters, with support tailored to your level of experience.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (1-8 years)
  • Experience in professional indemnity and/or commercial litigation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident legal drafting ability
  • Comfortable managing multiple matters with appropriate supervision
  • Keen to build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients
