An amazing opportunity has arisen for an NQ Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a highly regarded Housing & Regeneration Property team working with registered providers, local authorities and public sector organisations on a broad range of development and regeneration matters. The team is nationally recognised within the social housing sector and advises on large-scale development and regeneration projects, site acquisitions, joint ventures, affordable housing schemes and wider asset management matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Property Lawyer looking to develop their experience within a specialist and growing sector, while working alongside experienced Lawyers on high-quality and socially impactful projects.

The Role

You will work as part of a specialist Housing & Regeneration team handling a varied caseload of property matters connected to the social housing and development sector. The work will include exposure to:

  • Development and regeneration projects
  • Site acquisitions and disposals
  • Residential and mixed-use development agreements
  • Joint venture arrangements
  • Shared ownership and home ownership matters
  • Asset management and wider property transactional work

You will also:

  • Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Manage communications with clients, third parties and other professionals involved in transactions
  • Support colleagues on larger and more complex matters
  • Build strong client relationships within the housing sector
  • Assist with business development and profile-raising activities

The team works closely with colleagues across construction, litigation, governance and procurement to provide a fully integrated service to housing sector clients.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant practice rights
  • Previous experience within commercial property, development or housing-related work
  • Understanding of property development and regeneration matters
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines within a busy team environment
  • Commercial and practical approach to legal problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail and client care skills
  • Previous experience within the social housing sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
