An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join one of the highest regarded Law firms in York. This role is ideal for someone looking to handle a high-quality caseload while working within a supportive and collaborative team that genuinely invests in professional development. You’ll manage your own varied caseload, build lasting client relationships and provide expert advice across all aspects of Private Client law.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of Wills, Probate and Private Client matters from instruction through to completion
- Draft Wills and advise clients on estate planning matters
- Handle Probate and Estate Administration files
- Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Deliver clear, practical and compassionate advice to clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm
- Ensure all matters are managed efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE in Wills & Probate/Private Client law
- Proven experience managing your own caseload of Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney matters
- Strong technical knowledge of Private Client law
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with clients
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- A collaborative and approachable team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
