A respected regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Solicitor to lead its Employment team. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys business development, team management and delivering commercially focused advice to a broad client base. You will take ownership of the department's continued growth, leading from the front while maintaining a varied and high quality employment law caseload. There is a clear route to partnership for the right individual, alongside the opportunity to play a key role in the firm's wider strategic direction.
The Role
- Lead, mentor and develop the Employment team
- Manage a mixed claimant and respondent employment caseload
- Conduct and oversee Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish
- Deliver pragmatic and commercially focused advice to clients
- Drive departmental growth through networking and business development
- Monitor financial performance, including billing, WIP and profitability
- Ensure exceptional client service and communication throughout every matter
- Contribute to the firm's leadership and long term strategy
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE in Employment Law
- Strong Employment Tribunal experience
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
- Confident business developer with excellent client relationship skills
- Commercially aware with strong leadership potential
- Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills
- Ambitious and motivated to progress towards partnership
