The stellar Mental Health and Court of Protection specialist firm in the region are seeking an ambitious, experienced Court of Protection Paralegal to join its much-vaunted team. This role focuses on welfare and Section 21A matters, providing high-quality advice and representation to vulnerable individuals who lack capacity.

You will assist with managing a Solicitors' busy workload on a one to one basis. Duties include:

  • Undertaking client visits
  • Instructing Counsel
  • Drafting applications and statements
  • Attending court hearings alongside the Solicitor

You will ensure all work aligns with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Legal Aid requirements.

Applicants should have demonstrable Court of Protection experience, ideally within welfare and Section 21A cases; all experience considered, however. Strong organisational, communication, and case management skills are essential, along with experience of Legal Aid processes.
