My client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Litigation Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE to join its growing Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with a strong background in Property Litigation, Housing Litigation and Civil Litigation, particularly involving residential landlord and tenant disputes, possession proceedings and rent arrears recovery. You will inherit a quality caseload and benefit from genuine long-term career prospects within a supportive and progressive firm.

The Role

  • Manage a varied caseload of litigation matters with a particular emphasis on residential property disputes, including:
    • Possession proceedings (Section 8 and Section 21)
    • Rent arrears recovery
    • Residential landlord and tenant disputes
    • Housing litigation
    • Property litigation
    • Civil litigation
    • Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings
    • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court applications
    • Negotiating settlements and advising clients on litigation strategy
    • Representing clients at hearings and liaising with counsel where appropriate
    • Managing files from initial instruction through to conclusion

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE in Litigation
  • Strong experience in Property Litigation and Housing Litigation
  • Proven experience handling possession claims and rent arrears matters
  • Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • A commercially focused and proactive approach

Desirable Experience

  • Applications are particularly welcomed from Solicitors who have acted for:
    • Private landlords
    • Property investors
    • Letting and managing agents
    • Housing providers
    • Developers
    • Commercial clients with residential property portfolios

Experience supervising junior team members or contributing to business development would be advantageous but is not essential.
