We are working with a well-established and highly regarded Nuneaton-based law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Care Solicitor to join its busy and expanding Care Department. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own caseload of pre-proceedings and public law children matters
  • Conducting advocacy in case management and contested public law hearings
  • Taking detailed client instructions and providing clear, targeted legal advice
  • Drafting applications, statements and supporting documentation
  • Applying for and managing Legal Aid public funding, including POA claims, disbursements and interim costs
  • Using case management systems, LAA CCMS and the HMCTS FPL Portal
  • Briefing and working closely with Counsel where appropriate
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of client care

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years' PQE
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience managing a mixed caseload
  • Confident working independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Experienced in advocacy, drafting and court proceedings
  • Organised, proactive and client-focused
