We are working with a well-established and highly regarded Nuneaton-based law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Care Solicitor to join its busy and expanding Care Department. Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of pre-proceedings and public law children matters
- Conducting advocacy in case management and contested public law hearings
- Taking detailed client instructions and providing clear, targeted legal advice
- Drafting applications, statements and supporting documentation
- Applying for and managing Legal Aid public funding, including POA claims, disbursements and interim costs
- Using case management systems, LAA CCMS and the HMCTS FPL Portal
- Briefing and working closely with Counsel where appropriate
- Delivering a consistently high standard of client care
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years' PQE
- Strong technical knowledge and experience managing a mixed caseload
- Confident working independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Experienced in advocacy, drafting and court proceedings
- Organised, proactive and client-focused
