The Role

As the successful Conveyancing Legal Secretary, you will support the Residential Property team, working closely with senior lawyers and colleagues across multiple offices. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to ensure the smooth progression of residential conveyancing matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing file opening and closing procedures
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
  • Handling conveyancing administrative tasks from instruction through to post-completion
  • Submitting Land Registry applications and Stamp Duty returns
  • Supporting post-completion processes in line with compliance requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of client care and communication
  • Assisting with file management and progression of transactions

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is preferred, ideally within residential property
  • Alternatively, experience in a fast-paced administrative or secretarial role
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently and prioritise tasks
