An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a highly regarded Tier 1 Legal 500 ranked Private Client Advisory team based in Chichester, with hybrid working options available. This role offers the chance to work with a collaborative and high-performing team advising high-net-worth individuals and families.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to clients on the legal and tax aspects of estate and succession planning.
- Advise on trusts created during a lifetime or by will.
- Assist with tax planning, estate administration, and post-death planning.
What We're Looking For
- A strong background in advising on and managing complex wills, probate, lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, powers of attorney and estate administration.
- Experience in lifetime inheritance tax (IHT) planning and the taxation and administration of trusts.
- Exceptional financial discipline and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and external professionals.
- Empathy and compassion to guide clients through personal and challenging circumstances.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
- A passion for business development and building client relationships.
- Familiarity with the private client markets in West Sussex or Hampshire (desirable, but not essential).
This role is ideally suited to a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with over 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
