For a newly qualified Solicitor or Associate looking to build a long-term career in commercial property, this opportunity offers exposure to high-quality work, a prestigious client base and the chance to develop alongside some of the region's leading real estate lawyers.
Joining a highly regarded Real Estate team, the successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of commercial property matters, with a particular focus on property investment, asset management, landlord and tenant work, and real estate transactions.
This is an opportunity to move beyond routine transactional work and become involved in complex, high-value matters for a diverse client base that includes institutional investors, global investment funds, developers, family offices, Oxbridge colleges and major corporate occupiers.
The Role
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, the Associate will advise on:
- Property investment acquisitions and disposals for buyers and sellers
- Landlord and tenant matters, including the negotiation of new business leases
- Property due diligence supporting real estate finance and corporate transactions
- Asset management matters including:
- Lease renewals
- Surrenders
- Easements
- Licences
- Ongoing portfolio management issues
The work spans a variety of sectors including office, retail, science and technology, mixed-use developments, hotels and leisure.
The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or equivalent lawyers with up to two years' PQE gained within a recognised commercial property or real estate team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong grounding in real estate and commercial property law
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and matter management abilities
- A proactive and commercial approach to problem-solving
- The ability to work effectively across multiple transactions and clients
- An interest in legal technology, innovation and the use of AI to improve client service and efficiency
Experience in property management or development work would be advantageous but is not essential.
