My client is a Legal 500 law firm who is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to lead a highly respected Private Client Department, consisting of 30 team members across all offices. About the Role
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of 30 across multiple offices in the South West
- Set and deliver the department's strategic direction
- Maintain high-quality standards across all Private Client services, including wills, trusts, probate, estate administration and estate planning
- Manage staff performance, progression and recruitment (supported by our HR team)
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Drive business development and support firmwide growth initiatives
- Oversee supervision, technical excellence and risk management
- Manage your own caseload of complex matters
Required experience includes:
- 10+ years PQE in Private Client law
- Proven experience leading teams or managing a department
- Strong expertise in trusts, tax and estate planning
- A collaborative, motivational leadership style
- Confidence in mentoring, performance management and driving positive change
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and business development
