An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contentious Probate and Inheritance Disputes Solicitor to join a highly regarded regional law firm at Director or Partner level.

The firm has a well-established reputation for providing expert advice across inheritance and succession disputes and is looking to appoint a senior lawyer who can take ownership of this specialist practice area, drive its continued growth and play a key role in shaping its future direction.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious contentious probate specialist who is looking for genuine leadership responsibility, a strong platform for business development and the opportunity to build on an established client base and referral network.

As the senior lawyer leading the contentious probate and inheritance disputes practice, you will have significant autonomy and responsibility for the strategic development of the team and department.

You will manage a high-quality caseload of complex and high-value inheritance, trust and estate disputes.

Alongside your fee-earning responsibilities, you will be expected to play a key role in developing the profile and commercial success of the practice.

This will include strengthening existing client and referrer relationships, developing new sources of work and contributing to networking, marketing and business development initiatives.

You will also provide leadership and support to more junior members of the team, helping to develop talent and create a collaborative, supportive and high-performing environment.

You are likely to be operating at Senior Associate, Director or Partner level within a recognised contentious trusts and estates practice and will have a strong track record of managing complex and high-value matters.

ACTAPS membership, or a willingness to work towards membership, would be advantageous.

Experience in mediation and/or other forms of alternative dispute resolution would also be beneficial.

This is more than a fee-earning role.

It represents an opportunity for an established contentious probate specialist to take ownership of a recognised practice area, influence its strategic direction and build upon its existing success.
