Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Conveyancer ready to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading property firm and head up a dynamic conveyancing team at its South Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and inspire a team of conveyancing professionals to meet departmental and organisational objectives
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of residential property transactions, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and full compliance
  • Implement and maintain best practices in conveyancing, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
  • Monitor performance metrics and champion continuous improvement across the department
  • Manage risk and client funds in accordance with professional standards
  • Oversee budgets, staffing and resource allocation for the conveyancing function
  • Drive business development and client relationship initiatives within residential conveyancing services
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless, high-quality client service delivery
  • Produce detailed reports for senior management on departmental performance, risks and growth opportunities
  • Handle a personal caseload of freehold, leasehold and shared ownership property transactions
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, estate agents and lenders
  • Support and mentor assistants and paralegals, fostering professional development within the team
  • Ensure cases are processed efficiently and in line with financial targets and service standards

About You:

  • A qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in residential property
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a legal team
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of conveyancing law, compliance requirements and market trends
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence
  • Confident in handling client enquiries face-to-face, by phone and online
