The role

As a Junior Litigation Solicitor in Belfast, you’ll work across a broad range of insurance litigation matters, supporting senior lawyers while gradually building your own caseload. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting on motor, employer’s liability, public liability and disease claims
  • Managing files under supervision, progressing matters toward resolution
  • Drafting pleadings, legal documentation and client correspondence
  • Conducting legal research and providing practical legal input
  • Supporting senior colleagues on complex litigation cases
  • Liaising with clients, insurers and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to client development and marketing activities
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk processes

About you

This opportunity would suit a Newly Qualified Solicitor/Junior Litigation Lawyer who:

  • Is qualified in Northern Ireland, England & Wales or Ireland (or due to qualify soon)
  • Has up to 2 years’ PQE, ideally within litigation or insurance work
  • Possesses strong academics and solid technical foundations
  • Demonstrates excellent drafting and analytical skills
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Is commercially aware and takes a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Can manage competing deadlines and workloads effectively
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
