The Role

As a Defence Insurance Associate in Belfast, you’ll handle a broad mix of personal injury litigation matters, acting primarily for insurers and self-insured organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and assisting on motor, employer’s liability, public liability and disease claims
  • Running your own caseload while supporting senior lawyers on more complex disputes
  • Drafting pleadings, reports and detailed client advice
  • Investigating claims, including liaising with policyholders and taking witness statements
  • Reviewing and interpreting medical evidence and expert reports
  • Attending court hearings, case reviews and pre-trial meetings
  • Ensuring compliance with client SLAs, reporting standards and reserving requirements
  • Maintaining accurate file management and correspondence
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Supporting business development and wider team initiatives

Qualifications
