An established and highly regarded law firm based in Altrincham is looking to recruit a Court of Protection Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its growing specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in Court of Protection work who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, client-focused firm.

The Role

  • Handle a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, advising and supporting clients and their families on a range of issues relating to property, financial affairs and welfare.
  • Own caseload of Court of Protection matters.
  • Advise deputies, attorneys, families and other professionals.
  • Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection.
  • Deal with deputyship and property and financial affairs matters.
  • Prepare annual deputy reports and financial accounts.
  • Assist with complex and sensitive client matters.
  • Liaise with the Court of Protection, OPG and other relevant organisations.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts.

About You

  • 2+ years' PQE with relevant Court of Protection experience.
  • A good understanding of Court of Protection procedures and deputyship work.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage a caseload independently while working as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills.
  • A genuine interest in working with clients and families who may require additional support.
