The Role: The Yield Manager plays a key role in the management of our key chain partners to maximise the opportunities by optimising rates, availability, inventory and securing additional rate plans. The role will be working closely with the Account Managers and Hotel Coordinators. Applicants should be European based.
Key responsibilities:- Maintain and optimise assigned chains contracts and where required, support the Account Manager – Chain during set up of new chains.
- Together with Hotel Coordinators - Chains monitoring hotels and chain and that all rate plans are live, promotions are available, and availability is open as per chain agreements.
- Securing exclusive rates, additional rate plans and inventory, deeper discounts and improving conditions with your portfolio of hotels and chains.
- Checking competitiveness and act on price comparisons.
- Analysing and evaluating data and providing recommendations to management and account managers based on the findings.
- Work with Hotel Coordinators to identify properties that have opted-out, or haven't opted-in and try to bring them onboard.
- Organise workshops to educate our hotel partners on how to efficiently manage dynamic rates and inventory.
- Keep manuals & plans with chains up to date.
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly monitoring of production of chains including regular reporting on chain performance, competitiveness, availability and pricing.
- Together with the Account Manager, managing and deleting/adding rate plans as and when required.
- Maintain partnerships with chains through monthly/quarterly meetings. Prepare information and participate in chain performance review calls.
- Explore relevant marketing opportunities with chains and liaise with internal stakeholders.
- Together with the Account Manager, evaluate distribution rules and seek additional sales opportunities.
- Investigate issues with rate plans/availability internally and escalate if necessary.
- Global Head of Chains with analyses, reports and presentations where required.
- Some travelling may be required.
- Represent G2 at meetings and trade shows where required.
- Support with ad hoc projects.
- Significant and recent experience with optimisation/yielding of hotel chains and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with them.
- Fluency in English, both spoken & written is essential (any additional languages will be an advantage).
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong commercial skills with a working knowledge of hotel distribution. Up to date with hotel distribution channels and technology.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines independently as well as in a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships amongst internal and external stakeholders.
- Clear and effective, both verbal and written, communication skills are essential.
- IT proficiency including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Proactive and results driven.
