g2 are on the search for an experienced Freelance Shift Team Lead to support operations at a Waste to Energy (WtE) facility in the UK. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing shift operations, ensuring safe and efficient plant performance, and leading a multidisciplinary shift team on a rotating day/night pattern.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate all operational activities during assigned shifts
- Ensure safe operation of the plant in line with site procedures, permits, and legislation
- Manage and support shift operators, contractors, and technicians
- Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to alarms and incidents
- Ensure smooth handovers between shifts with accurate reporting
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
- Liaise with engineering, maintenance, and management teams as required
