Civil Engineering Project Manager – Outside IR35 – 52-Week Contract

Location: Home Counties

I'm currently working with a major civil engineering contractor who is delivering a large-scale infrastructure project in the Home Counties, and we're now looking to bring on board a Project Manager with solid experience in water and utilities works.

This is a 52-week contract, outside IR35, and is due to kick off in June or July — ideal for someone who’s looking to secure their next long-term contract on a complex and rewarding scheme.

  • 5km+ of water mains
  • Drainage, manholes, and slab placement
  • Precast concrete structures and prefabricated tanks
  • Coordinating multiple contractors, subcontractors, and site managers
  • Ensuring programme, cost, and quality targets are met
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering, ideally on large infrastructure or utilities-heavy projects
  • Strong technical understanding of water & utilities installations
  • Confident managing multiple workstreams and contractor packages on-site
  • SMSTS and CSCS essential
  • Long-term contract on a high-value scheme
  • Competitive day rate – open to negotiation based on experience
