A client of mine working for a local authority is looking to hire an Interim Housing Enforcement Officer, specializing in private sector housing, for the next 12+ months due to a number of outstanding service requests, and a gap in their team due to a long standing permanent vacancy.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week. Hybrid working is standard within this local authority, so it is expected that the candidate placed will be on site between 2-3 days each week depending on the workload.

  • Investigating housing disrepair complaints
  • Undertaking HHSRS inspections
  • Taking enforcement action under the Housing Act 2004
  • Strong knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and HHSRS
  • Experience carrying out inspections and enforcement activity
