Contract Opportunity Offshore Geotechnical Engineer (Outside IR35)
UK-Based | 3-Month Contract | Immediate Start
We are currently looking for an experienced Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading consultancy on a short-term contract basis (Outside IR35). This role will support offshore site investigation campaigns across UK waters – starting ASAP.
Key Info:
- 3-month contract
- Competitive daily rate (Outside IR35)
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
- Prior UK offshore geotechnical experience is essential
- Offshore travel may be required – valid offshore certs a bonus
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting offshore site investigations (CPT, boreholes, sampling, etc.)
- Interpreting geotechnical data and contributing to reports
- Liaising with offshore crews, clients, and internal teams
- Ensuring technical quality and HSE compliance throughout the project
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong background in offshore geotechnical engineering
- Familiar with UK offshore standards and operations
- Offshore survival/medical (BOSIET, OGUK) preferred but not essential
- Available to start at short notice
