We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a high-profile data centre project in the Manchester area. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in mission-critical environments. You will play a key role in overseeing the commissioning process from pre-commissioning through to final handover, ensuring systems are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the commissioning process across MEP systems
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Oversee testing, validation, and performance verification of systems
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the commissioning lifecycle
  • Manage commissioning documentation, reporting, and handover packs
  • Drive health & safety standards across all commissioning activities

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the data centre sector. Proven experience working as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale or mission-critical projects. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and BMS systems within data centres. Demonstrated experience delivering projects through full commissioning lifecycle. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
