g2 are working with a well-established structural engineering consultancy in Berkshire who are seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStructE or MICE) to support their building structures projects on a part-time contract basis.
Location: Berkshire (can be worked fully remotely!)
Hours: Up to 25 hours a week
Rate: Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience - OUTSIDE IR35.
Start date: Flexible - ideally in the next month
Responsibility:
- Lead structural design and analysis (a mixture of materials)
- Review and sign off calculations and drawings
- Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations
- Liaise with clients, architects, and internal teams
Requirements:
- Chartered status (CEng MIStructE or MICE) – essential
- Strong UK consultancy experience
- Ability to work independently and take design responsibility
