A local government client of mine are currently on the lookout for an Interim Finance Manager to join their team with experience in Children's Services, Social Care & Education.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Rate: DOE
IR35: Inside
Hybrid: X1-2 days per week in office (variable).
Start Date: ASAP
You will be responsible for a team of 12 FTE employees and will be managing the finances for all children's services, social care & education. You will be responsible for:
- Financial advice and support to the Service.
- Team Management through oversight of the Senior Accountants.
- Key lead for Directorate Leadership Team meetings & project involvement.
- General ledger, close down and reporting.
Successful candidates will:
- MUST be fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience.
- MUST have specific children's social care finance experience given the national social care reforms or significant background in education or both.
- MUST have experience working with elected Members and Directors / Assistant Directors.
