Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Technician to support operations and maintenance activities at a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant in Kent. This is a long-term contract role, working as part of the site engineering and maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. CCGT power plant experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault finding, maintenance, calibration, and repair of control and instrumentation systems across the CCGT plant
  • Support routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities on plant instrumentation and control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with DCS, PLCs, field instrumentation, and associated control equipment
  • Assist with plant outages, inspections, and commissioning activities as required
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and permit-to-work systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
  • Liaise with operations, engineering, and OEM vendors to resolve technical issues
