Location: Lincoln | Duration: 6‑Month Contract | Rate: £55 per hour | Working Pattern: We are currently supporting a live highways road scheme in Lincoln and are seeking a Senior Engineer to support construction delivery on site.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role, suited to an experienced engineer with a strong design background who is comfortable overseeing and challenging works during construction.
You will be working on a live road scheme with responsibility for construction‑stage engineering oversight, with particular focus on:
- Earthworks supervision, including bulk earthworks and cut & fill
- Bridge and foundation works
- Oversight of construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications
- Liaison with contractors and the wider project team
- Providing engineering judgement and technical input on site
This is not a ground investigation (GI) role. The emphasis is firmly on construction‑stage earthworks and delivery, rather than logging or GI execution.
A background in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology is required, along with a solid design background, enabling you to oversee and challenge construction works on site. Experience on highways or major infrastructure schemes is essential, as is confidence working in a site‑led, construction environment.
Location: Lincoln – site‑based, 5 days per week | Rate: £55 per hour | Start: ASAP / short notice advantageous.
