About the Role
Join a market leader in Europe for Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. With years of secured project work ahead, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on high-profile renewable energy projects. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer who will use their expertise to plan, execute, and manage HV electrical projects. You’ll ensure delivery within scope, budget, and safety standards while applying technical knowledge to provide reliable, efficient solutions. This is a site-based role.
Responsibilities
- Support design and project teams to meet electrical and project objectives.
- Oversee construction phase, review designs, and provide feedback.
- Attend design, construction, and subcontractor meetings; manage subcontractor performance.
- Ensure material approvals and compliance with specifications.
- Handle technical submittals and coordinate FATs.
- Conduct daily site walks for progress, issue resolution, and safety compliance.
- Review installations against design packs; log QA/QC observations and close issues.
- Manage ITPs, MS Teams updates, and weekly progress photos.
- Coordinate procurement of electrical materials and evaluate suppliers.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years experience in electrical projects.
- Knowledge of HV systems and electrical design software.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Project management certification (advantageous).
