My client based in West Yorkshire are looking to appoint an Interim Head of Fire Safety. This role will report directly to the Service Director for Property, Facilities and Health and Safety and work closely with the corporate health and safety team, property compliance team and external contractors.
The post holder will:
- Ensure that the Council complies with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) legislation.
- Assist the Corporate Management Team, Service Director of Property Facilities and Health and Safety and the wider Council in providing and maintaining levels of fire precaution within Council premises in line with statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an open and transparent Fire Safety Management System in line with BS 9997.
- Provide assurance through the Service Director for Property Facilities and Health and Safety to the Corporate Director for Resources and the wider Council on matters relating to Fire Safety.
- Be responsible for the provision and content of fire training and for ensuring fire risk assessments are in place that meet the statutory requirements of the RRO (Regulatory Reform Order).
Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: Daily Negotiable DOE
Working Pattern: Hybrid
