My local authority clients around the UK are on the lookout for interim Housing Standards Officers. I have many opportunities now and upcoming around the UK for Private Sector Housing Officers.

Contract: 6 Months +

Rate: £35p/h - £50p/h

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 37 p/w and 24 p/w

Working pattern: 2 days on-site for Full Time, 1 day on-site for Part Time

Day-to-day duties:

  • Conduct HHSRS property inspections.
  • Carry out necessary enforcement actions on both CAT 1 & CAT 2 hazards in line with the Housing Act 2004.
  • HMO inspections and related licensing.

There is an expectancy to hit the ground running; therefore, recent previous experience conducting HHSRS inspections within a local authority setting is essential.

Additional duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out reactive complaints
  • HMO inspections and applications
  • Empty property complaints

Must have:

  • HHSRS
  • Driving license
