My local authority clients around the UK are on the lookout for interim Housing Standards Officers. I have many opportunities now and upcoming around the UK for Private Sector Housing Officers.

Contract: 6 Months + Start Date: ASAP

Work Schedule:

  • 2 days on-site for Full Time
  • 1 day on-site for Part Time

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct HHSRS property inspections.
  • Carry out necessary enforcement actions on both CAT 1 & CAT 2 hazards in line with the Housing Act 2004.
  • HMO inspections and related licensing.

There is an expectancy to hit the ground running; therefore, recent previous experience conducting HHSRS inspections within a local authority setting is essential.

Additional responsibilities include carrying out reactive complaints, HMO inspections and applications, and empty property complaints.

A driving license is required.
