We’re supporting a major infrastructure contractor delivering high‑voltage projects across South Wales. They’re looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join on a freelance basis, working full‑time on site across the Cardiff–Swansea region. This is an initial 6‑month contract with strong potential to extend. The role offers a 60/40 split between office and site, ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on delivery while staying close to design, QA, and project controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with design, engineering, and project management teams to deliver HV project scope and electrical requirements.
  • Support construction‑issue designs and provide weekly feedback to improve quality and buildability.
  • Lead subcontractor and site interface meetings to maintain performance and clarity of scope.
  • Manage material approval requests and ensure all works comply with approved specifications.
  • Take ownership of technical submittals during the construction phase.
  • Attend and coordinate FATs with the project team.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, resolve subcontractor issues, and ensure full H.
