Senior QS / Commercial Manager to support a construction client within the Data Centre industry. The client works on construction and support packages for data centre construction sites, handling packages surrounding construction site management, utilities, infrastructure, project and HSE management.
The client is a UK contractor covering Datacentre sites in central Europe, DACH, The Nordics and The UK. They are UK based, but happy for the successful candidate to be based in any location, flexible working from home and site.
The role will be starting immediately, and you would join my client on a 12-month rolling contract. The client will also consider candidates looking for permanent opportunities.
LOCATION: Remote/home based + Site Visits (50/50 Visit). Sites include Finland, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Sweden
START: Immediate Start
SALARY: Freelance or employed solution. Hourly/Daily.
- 10+ years’ experience working in projects, contracts or commercial roles
- Experience working on construction projects, ideally cradle to grave
- Projects value managed from €25 - €40 Million, packages up to €5 Million
- Commercial Manager with experience in planning, cost and risk
- Experience working on projects from kick off – setting up systems and processes
- Contractor experience, sub-contractor or main contractor is applicable
- Experience with resource costing, contract queries and sub-contractor management
- Good communication skills, able to speak with clients and sub-contractors onsite
- Fluent English speaking
The client is looking for a hands-on Senior QS / Commercial Manager to join their team and support multiple construction projects throughout Europe; you would be involved with multiple packages on different sites, supporting from breaking ground to handover onsite.
The role is remote/home based with travel to site as required, the expectations would be for multiple trips throughout the month, as the client has 2-3 projects running simultaneously at any one time. The client is happy to consider EU and UK nationals. Happy to discuss any queries.
