Freelance Shift Commissioning Engineer / Operator – Waste to Energy Project

North England

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 Months (Option to extend to 1 year+)

We are currently looking for x5 Shift Commissioning Engineer / Operators to support a major Waste to Energy commissioning project across multiple sites in the UK.

Key Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering background
  • Strong experience in power plant commissioning and operations
  • Waste to Energy experience preferred
  • Experience commissioning and operating boilers
  • Fluent English communication skills

The Role

  • Supporting commissioning activities across the plant
  • Operating and monitoring plant systems during commissioning phases
  • Working within a shift-based operational team
  • Assisting with testing, troubleshooting, and plant start-up activities
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
