I’m currently working with a leading organisation to find an experienced Health & Safety Lead to drive EHS standards across a major Data Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of safety performance, influence best practice, and play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong EHS leadership across the division, driving training initiatives and ensuring competency standards (internal and external) meet statutory and industry requirements.
  • Support and enhance project teams’ understanding and implementation of the EHS Management System (EHSMS).
  • Take a proactive approach to all aspects of health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Monitor and report on EHS risks, KPIs, and trends, using data insights to recommend continuous improvement actions.
  • Coordinate all EHS activities within the division and report effectively to senior leadership (Business Unit Manager and EHS Manager).
  • Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure effective implementation of the EHS Management System.
  • Develop and track corrective and preventative action plans to drive ongoing compliance and improvement.
  • Lead thorough incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing robust preventative measures.
  • Ensure all site documentation (including RAMS, site plans, and procedures) is compliant, up to date, and regularly reviewed.

Requirements

  • Degree or advanced qualification in Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience in a HSE role).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within data centre environments.
  • Strong knowledge of regional health & safety legislation and standards.
  • Experience working with recognised H&S management systems (e.g. ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001).
  • Proven ability in risk assessment, method statements (RAMS), and incident investigation/root cause analysis.
