A public sector organisation is looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join their commercial property team on an interim basis. You'll work on refurbishment and capital improvement projects across a variety of council buildings, managing multiple smaller-scale schemes at once.
What you'll do:
- Inspect buildings and plan remedial works
- Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and project briefs
- Supervise contractors and manage budgets on site
- Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance
- Work closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
What we're looking for:
- Building Surveying qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree)
- Experience in refurbishment, maintenance, or public sector projects
- Knowledge of JCT contracts
- MRICS preferred but not essential
- Able to juggle multiple projects efficiently
- Experience across commercial portfolios
