Food Safety Officer

Contract: 3-Month Rolling Contract

A Local Authority in the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Food Safety Officer to join their Environmental Health team on an initial 3-month rolling contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for an officer seeking flexibility while working within a supportive and well-established local authority team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct food hygiene inspections in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice.
- Carry out food premises interventions and revisit programmes.
- Provide advice and guidance to food business operators.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety legislation.
Requirements
- Environmental Health Degree or equivalent qualification.
- EHORB Registration (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Recent experience delivering Food Safety functions within a UK Local Authority.
- Competent and confident carrying out Category A-E food hygiene inspections.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable.
