Principal Accountant (HRA) 🏡 📍 London Borough | 🏠 Hybrid Working | ⏰ Full-Time | 📄 Interim Contract We're working with a London local authority seeking an experienced Principal Accountant (HRA) to join their Housing Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the council's Housing Revenue Account, working closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial support across housing services. 🌟 Key Responsibilities ✅ Lead on HRA budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting. ✅ Support long-term financial planning, including maintenance of the HRA Business Plan and financial modelling. ✅ Partner with Housing and operational services to provide financial advice, challenge and informed decision-making support. 🎯 Ideal Experience ✔ Previous experience working within a local authority HRA or Housing Finance function. ✔ Knowledge of HRA budgeting, forecasting, business planning and financial reporting. ✔ Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively alongside both finance and non-finance teams. 👤 About You 🔹 Local government finance experience is essential. 🔹 AAT qualified, part-qualified CCAB, qualified by experience or fully qualified candidates are all encouraged to apply. 🔹 Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships quickly. 💡 What's on Offer? 🏠 Hybrid working 📅 Full-time contract 🤝 Collaborative finance team 📈 Opportunity to support key housing and financial priorities within a large London authority Interested in finding out more?
