My client in the East of England is currently looking to appoint an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to support their high-demand HMO licensing and compliance function. This role is very much inspection-led, with a primary focus on HMOs rather than broader private sector housing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting HMO inspections and ensuring licensing compliance
- Carrying out HHSRS assessments
- Identifying hazards and areas of non-compliance
- Liaising with landlords to bring properties up to standard
- Following up on enforcement actions and completing reports using Uniform
Working Pattern
- Ideally full-time, though flexibility is available
- A minimum of 3 days on-site for inspections
- Hybrid working arrangements in place
- Open to a 4-day week or part-time candidates
